for Amazon Private Label Sellers

Founder of AMZPing

Here are all the tools that I could find, scouting the web for software for AMZ Private Label Sellers. I tried sorting them by their main features, but some tools have too many features to list! You can check out each of them individually and decide if it can be useful for you. If you know any other good ones, please let me know. Enjoy!

Same as JungleScout, but has only very basic features.
I also noticed that their estimates are not as accurate as JungleScout's. Pretty inaccurate actually.
The only good thing I can say is, it's cute. Ah yes, and free.

You can choose any Amazon product, and it will show you sales rank & price history.

This tool is more for buyers than sellers, but can be somewhat useful if you're looking for a free alternative to JungleScout. The bad part is that you will have to do your own sales estimates.

You can search for products by keywords, and it will show you Estimated Sales, Number of Reviews and Sales Rank.
It's not bad, similar to JungleScout, but it does not show number of sellers and does not have filter options. It also takes quite a while to fetch the data.

They use Amazon Autosuggestions, so whatever keyword you will put in, they will show you thousands of keywords that contain your given words. Great way to explore for new ideas.
Up To 380 Keyword Suggestions From Amazon are Free. That's is a LOT of keywords. Use it.

While Amazon will only show you Top 100 Best Sellers for each category, Sellics shows you Top 5000 Best Sellers for each category.
I also liked that it shows you average number of sales per day for the 1st page of search results for a keyword that you choose. Then on a graph you can see if all these sales are mostly done by 1 competitor, or is it nicely spread more evenly amongst the sellers on the first page.

You enter a keyword, choose a category, listing quality score, number of sellers - and you will get a list of products that match this criteria. Similar to JungleScout web app, but less features.
You can also check random Product Ideas section, which is pretty fun to look through. You will select either BSR Movers, New Arrivals, Trending or Most Wished, and you will get a list of random products in random categories. My favorite is Trending Product ideas.

If you want to sell some kind of spatula, but not sure what type of spatulas exist, you can use this tool to give you ideas.
You can put in your keyword, let's say 'spatula for' and it will give you all possible autocompletions for it, like 'spatula for chemistry', 'spatula for cakes', etc.
You get 3 free searches a day, which is wonderful.

Their Keyword Trends tool gives you Hundreds of Thousands of Ideas and more. It's quite awesome.
I really like the button "Today's Top New Keywords" - it gives you a huge list of newly popular keywords with their search volume. Great to see trends or just what's popular in general.
Their KIPRT Tool is great when you already know what niche you are interested in, it will show you a good overview of that niche. Works similar to JungleScout, but adds additional useful info, like Keyword Count, Title Length, Past 30 day Reviews Growth, and more.

It's a web app, where you enter your keyword, and it presents you a list of results, very similar to JungleScout, with their BSR, number of sellers and Price.
What is unique about this tool, is a column with 2nd BSR as well. So in the main category BSR is maybe 452, but in a second category BSR is 11, for example. Could be useful.
Other than that, the tool is pretty basic.

Analyzes Aliexpress.com bestsellers - shows you prices, number of orders, shipping cost, shipping methods. You can also search by keyword.
Buying from Aliexpress.com is the easiest way to quickly test a product - buy 20 units, see if it sells well, then go to Alibaba.com and order an improved version with your branding.
This is the only tool on the market, which analyzes Aliexpress like that.

You can choose a category that you're interested in, and it will show you all the data for the products in that category. Most useful are Sales Rank, Number of Reviews and Number of Sellers.
One nice feature is that you can configure what Opportunity Score means to you, for example how many reviews it should have, what price range etc. Then to quickly judge if the product is good, you just look at the Opportunity Score.

Scout Products feature lets you put in your requirements, like maximum reviews, maximum Best Seller Ranking, price range and one keyword. Then it will show you a list of products with their prices and their rank. Super basic.
I did not like the 'backwards' search style, where I need to know the parameters right away, before I even take a look at what stats ranges are there in my search results.

Sales Spy tool tracks number of sales for any ASIN that you add, using 999 trick. This method is ok if you already know which products you want to track. But if you're just searching for ideas, it will not work so well.

I really like their custom scoring system for products, you just click if you want to see Great, Good or Competitive products, and they filter everything for you.
You can see what initial inventory investment you will need, what date stock will arrive, what date you will break even, and what will be your monthly ROI.
They even show you estimated freight cost by air or by sea for each product. And even keyword volume and keyword competition score.

It’s a Chrome Extension, which shows BSR on each product on Amazon site directly. It also shows Price history, pulled from camelcamelcamel.
This can be useful when doing searches on Amazon for your keywords, to quickly investigate several competing products. It does not summarize or group the data in any way, so you will not be able to evaluate your competition too well.

Very nice custom made tool, to help you discover a new product to sell. Works a little similar to JungleScout, in a sense that it finds what is already selling very well on Amazon. Free version is full of features, I loved it.
But why oh why is this a downloadable app, instead of web-based? I had to reaaaly force myself to download it and bypass all security warnings my Mac gave. I was worried it will be stealing my data or something. Downloads are so 90s. I would have given this tool Green rating, and now it's getting Yellow. Other than that, it's very good.

It's a browser extension, which checks how many units in stock any product has. It can track stock level and also the product price daily for you.
They are using the 999 method to check this, so if a seller has more than 1000 units in stock, it will not work.
Many reviews say this app is super slow. I did not test it myself.

One-to-one copy of JungleScout. Their sales estimates accuracy is not so bad, but depends on category. USA estimates are fairly good, but other countries are off.

Perfect for quick retail arbitrage, if you don’t have any scripts/assistants that are scouting the web for you. Trendosaur finds a few great deals of that moment, where you can buy something cheap, and resell on Amazon. Here is an example report, what you will get for $19.
Keep in mind they have a lot of arbitragers using their reports, so you will be competing with them for the buy box. And, be careful with branded items.
If you sell private label only, this could be a great starting point for product niche ideas. Find something you like, and then go and invent/modify/bundle into some new product listing that doesn’t exist on Amazon yet.

The product database is what you would expect - you put in keywords and criteria, and it finds products for you. I liked that it has product size filter, which I don’t remember seeing in any other apps.
So in theory, this tool should be great. In practice, when I tested my keywords, it only came up with 23 results, while there are sooo many results on Amazon for that keyword. Their database seems to be super small. I should give them ++ for the speed of the app. Database loads super fast. Unfortunately, not only data is limited, but also many items don’t have the estimated sales numbers at all, so it’s not super useful for research.
They also have a broswer extension, which is just like Junglescout Chrome Extension, but a little more basic. It will scan the Amazon page that you’re currently on, and will show you estimated sales for each product, as well as all standard things like number of sellers, reviews, average rating, price etc.

An ancient-looking tool, similar to camelcamelcamel. Seems more geared towards retail arbitragers. Allows to scan the barcode and calculates profit based on going price on Amazon and your markup desired.
For us, private labellers, their rank tracker by ASIN could be useful.
And, if you want to roughly estimate sales for some product, you can lookup sales rank # on Amazon for that asin, and then use this number to see how many sales a given rank translates to, in specific category. This would work if you are just starting out, and still doing things manually. Otherwise, I recommend using JungleScout and the likes.
This tool is just so outdated-looking.. Excel spreadsheets… boring boring things. I am not so keen on this one.

Such a nice tracker. When you sign up, it will automatically start tracking all your products. It will graph change in BSR, number of reviews, inventory in stok, units sold and profit made. It also automatically tracks for new reviews and lists them for you on the same page.
You can also track keyword rankings. Most exciting feature is that it can notify you if your ranking drops down. For example, I want to get notified if my product ranking for one keyword drops below #15. It would mean something bad happened, and I would go to investigate.

It's more for arbitragers, it filters down sales data by Brand for example.. which is not needed for private label sellers.

This app is more for Retail Arbitragers, but Private Labellers may find it useful as well.
It will automatically pull all your sales and show a breakdown of profit by ASIN, and give you a total as well. You can choose a period you want the report for.

While this tool is amazingly useful for eBay sellers, it's basically useless for Amazon sellers.
They have only the very simple basic info that they pull from your Amazon account - Number of items sold, Average Price and Total Revenue. With a few additional graphs, that's about all you get.
As an Amazon seller, you will not find it useful at all. Same info is available on Seller Central. But if you're an eBay seller, check it out for sure - they have exclusive agreement with eBay and you can do some awesome product research with this tool.

Find
a freight forwarder
Most freight forwarders use old-fashioned email to arrange everything with you, for shipping. Flexport has a modern app which shows all the tracking and info about your shipment.
I did not try them out yet, but seems very promising! I will be trying them out soon.
Varies

Gives you instant quotes for shipping, comparing multiple freight forwarders. Suitable for Amazon FBA, as they are experienced with it.
Unfortunately their search does not have FBA options, so there will be some hidden fees, such as 50-75 USD surcharge to deliver to an Amz Warehouse, for sea shipments there will be repalleting fee, customs brokerage is extra, etc.
I have a preferred forwarder that I work with, and their quotes are pretty similar to those on Freightos. So I use this app to quickly estimate the shipping cost, instead of waiting 24 hours for a reply from my forwarder.

Magnet Tool: you put in a seed keyword, and it will give you a lot of keywords from Amazon autosuggest.

This tool does not look like much from their homepage, but it's super awesome inside.
First of all, it pulls data from 10 different competitor asins that you give them, as well as your own asin - to create a very good keyword list, sorted by number of monthly searches.
Then, it has a Listing builder tool, helping you along the way to create your listing, using all most important keywords. It even gives a few tricks, showing what other fields in the backend are indexed and you can fill them out as well.
I know it costs 20$ per listing, and you will say, 'I can just use the free Sonar tool'. I was thinking the same. But! WordTree has the most recent data and it updates every two weeks, while Sonar was last updated almost a year ago. Sonar does not include newly added listings and their keywords.
Just try Wordtree for your most important listing, you will see what I mean. It's super useful.

This is the only repricer on the market that works for Private Label Sellers. Other repricers simply compete on the buy box with other sellers, mostly on price. This one tries to find a balance between number of orders and sales price, incorporating market demand - all to give you the most profit.

It will reprice your products, based on competition in the buybox. But this is not useful for private label sellers - I added this software here because it has another feature that could be useful for PL.
You can set specific price points depending on your inventory level. For example, if you have overstock of inventory, you could lower the price to sell faster. Or if you are running low on stock, you could increase prices, to last longer. Be careful though, slowing down sales affects your rankings, so it may be harder to increase the sales again later.
I give it a yellow rating, because it is somewhat useful for private label, but it's very expensive for those few features.

You can send emails on very specific conditions, for example if an order was refunded, you could hold off with the review request. Or you could email every customer who left you feedback asking to copy it over to a review. Or you can send a different email for each marketplace, if you want them in different languages for example. And more.
Also automatically hands out coupon codes from a list that you provide.

If you’re very technically capable, you will enjoy this tool. Otherwise, I think it will be confusing as to why you need two tools (unifiecom and infusionsoft). The benefit is being able to harness the power of infusionsoft (not to have your emails marked as spam, have advanced email sequences, and customer segmentation options, etc). But if you are not technical, just reading the words Integration, custom fields mapping, tagging, frequency rating will blow your mind, lol.
There are so many other tools for Amazon email marketing already… Plus, Amazon soon will restrict the number of non-shipping related emails to one per customer (as announced by feedbackfive), deeming all email automation software less useful.
For my small sales, it will cost me more than 350$ a month just for infusionsoft, plus 300$ for unifiesoft. This is quite expensive for an email management tool, when I can get pretty much the same for $35 a month with Quantify Ninja.

You will want to use this service if you sell on Amazon.co.uk, .de, .fr, .it or .es. You are required to collect VAT sales tax in Europe, and as a foreign seller you have no minimum thresholds which would allow you not to collect any tax.

As the name suggests, PanEuVat helps you file your taxes in all European countries, where you're selling on Amazon.
I personally just send all my stock to UK and fulfill to other EU countries from there, using FBA Export option. But if I would go over the threshold in any of those countries, or start keeping inventory there, I would have to register and file taxes in each.
This service will help you keep up with the convoluted tax filing rules and regulations, help you collect tax and file them correctly in each country and stay sane.
If you only file VAT in one country, this service is still a very good choice. They will just ask for your sales report from Amazon, and you will have to fill out some fancy automated Excel sheets for them - and that's pretty much all you will have to do.

Shows you when and how many units to order. For example, it shows me that in 3 days I need to order 725 units, based on the last 30 days sales (plus they do some more magic for seasonality etc).
I really LOVE the Inbound Shipments dashboard. It shows exactly how many units Amazon received for each shipment, and how much that affects your costs. I would have missed the 200 out of 300 units that never came via Fedex. Email from Amazon only said they are receiving, so I was calm and forgot about it. This is one of those large scale solutions, suitable for you if you are a huge seller on Amazon and other channels.
